Helen Scott

Co-Founder of Eris FX

Helen Scott co-founded the company, Eris FX (named after the Greek Goddess of Disruption), in 2003. Eris FX is an FCA-authorised Payments Institution, based in Leeds, Yorkshire. 

Helen’s background is 20 years as a City trader working for institutions such as Daiwa Securities in London and Societe Generale in Tokyo where she ran the Japanese options desk.  She was Senior Far East Fund Manager for Family Assurance Friendly Society before setting up Eris FX.  She also worked for two years as a Japanese translator for the Financial Times. 

Helen led a management buyout of the company in 2012 and gained control. She is the only female CEO in the industry. She holds a BA (Hons) in English Studies and an MA in Japanese.
