Stian Westlake

Stian Westlake is an expert on the policy and economics of science, technology and innovation. He served as adviser to three UK science and universities ministers between 2017 and 2019. Prior to this, he was an Executive Director at Nesta, the UK's national foundation for innovation, where he ran the organisation's think-tank, and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in London and Silicon Valley. He is co-author of the critically acclaimed Capitalism Without Capital: the rise of the intangible economy (Princeton UP, 2017).
