APPG for Entrepreneurship: Parliamentary Reception with Lord Howard Flight

  • Committee Room G House of Lords London SW1A 0PW (map)

A lunchtime parliamentary reception hosted by the APPG for Entrepreneurship, Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA) and The Entrepreneurs Network, looking at the role that EIS and Seed EIS can play in providing better access to finance for UK start-ups, scale-ups, and would-be unicorns. To date, these schemes have helped over 27,000 small businesses raise equity funding from private individuals.

At this event you will:

  • further your knowledge of the EIS and SEIS schemes;

  • discover the equity funding experiences of some of Britain's leading entrepreneurs;

  • hear from seasoned investors on their experiences and the role tax reliefs play in their investment decisions;

  • learn what the Government can do to ease the difficulties of gaining access to finance for SMEs.

The EISA chairman, Lord Howard Flight will be hosting the event and we will hear briefly from a variety of entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts about how they use the schemes to help start up and scale ups fund their ventures. A light lunch and refreshments will be served.
