The Entrepreneurs Network and Xero invite you to join us for the launch of a new report exploring the challenges and opportunities for SMEs in the current climate.

Without small business growth, there will be no economic recovery. Some 52% of GDP generated by the private sector comes from the country’s smaller firms.

Successive governments have been quick to acknowledge the seismic contribution of smaller businesses. But moving forward, how do policymakers:

• build a sophisticated grasp of the challenges and circumstances across the small business economy?

• recognise that policies designed around catch-all categories such as “SMEs” are unlikely to deliver for the UK’s small businesses?

“Small businesses. Big opportunity” is the latest “Road to recovery” report from Xero, the small business software company. It shows how a more detailed understanding of the specific needs of small businesses could lead to a more meaningful response from policymakers across governments, local governments and the industry.
