Attracting & Retaining Talent

It has always been important to foster a strong culture to attract and retain the best talent. However, it has never been as important to attract and retain the right talent as the UK enters into the post-COVID-19 world.

At this event, we will draw on the expertise of established Female Founders and expert speakers to provide practical advice on winning the war on talent as the labour market adjusts to a more digitally-enabled business landscape in the wake of COVID-19.

You will hear from an esteemed panel, including Tugce Bulut, Founder of Streetbees and Member of the Female Founders Forum, an MP, and Juliet Rogan, Head of the High Growth & Entrepreneurs team at Barclays.

Tugce Bulut is Founder and CEO of technology company Streetbees. She is passionate about the power and the positive change it can bring to the world. She is a published author and Master’s graduate from the University of Cambridge, specialising in poverty alleviation and global living standards. 

Before founding Streetbees in 2015, she spent six years as a strategy consultant advising technology and consumer companies on how to accelerate growth in international markets. 

Aimee Bateman is Founder and CEO of Careercake. Aimee has 15 years experience working within talent attraction and development and founded the video subscription platform, Careercake.com raising significant Angel and VC funding to establish and scale the award winning platform.

She has won numerous awards and accolades including CEO of 'Best Employability Advice Website 2019' National Online Recruitment Awards (NORAS). In 2014 Aimee delivered a TEDx talk in London. Titled - Judgment, Don’t Let It Frighten You! and her YouTube videos have reached 30 million views across 5 strategic channels.

Eugenia Migliori is Principal Policy Adviser at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). She leads the Diversity and Inclusion campaign and supports UK businesses to be more diverse and inclusive. 

Eugenia leads CBI’s pay policy. Before joining the CBI, Eugenia was a consultant at the United Nations in New York. She has extensive experience in the public sector drafting and implementing policies in Latin America and was Under Secretary of State of Argentina. She is a Commissioner of the UK’s Gender-Equal Economy Commission.

The Female Founders Forum was set up by The Entrepreneurs Network and Barclays, to encourage, support, and promote female entrepreneurship. We seek to connect some of the UK’s most inspirational female entrepreneurs with those on the cusp of rapid growth.
