Disability & Entrepreneurship in the Time of Coronavirus

This APPG for Entrepreneurship webinar will explore the key issues impacting disabled entrepreneurs, including:

  • the public health challenges for some disabled entrepreneurs;

  • the support that government provides to entrepreneurs with disabilities and where more is needed;

  • the potential post-coronavirus changes (e.g. changing working patterns, technologies etc.) and how they might support entrepreneurs with disabilities.

Dr Lisa Cameron is MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow and the Shadow Spokesperson on Mental Health. She is Scottish National Party politician, consultant clinical psychologist and is Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Disability, which focuses on the issues that affect all disabled people regardless of their disability, impairment, or health condition. As the Secretariat of the APPG for Entrepreneurship, The Entrepreneurs Network is organising a series of webinars to bring parliamentarians and leading business owners together to explore what the future holds for startups and scaleups post-COVID-19.

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Entrepreneurship was set up to encourage, support and promote entrepreneurship. It also ensures that Parliament is kept up-to-date on what is needed to create and sustain the most favourable conditions for entrepreneurship.
