Roudie Shafie is a senior public affairs consultant to health and tech companies, providing strategic advice, support with political and regulatory engagement and access to decision makers.
Roudie has over a decade's experience in public affairs working a wide breadth of sectors and policy areas. Roudie worked for 6 years for the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, in senior policy roles covering economic competitiveness, health and social policy. As Head of Health Economy for the Mayor of London she played a key role is establishing MedCity as a key player in the London and UK Life Sciences sector, both with politicians and with the sector itself. She secured a commitment from the Prime Minister for a International Dementia Research Institute, and established seed funding and an executive board for a Digital Health Institute for London. Roudie was also the Mayor's lead advisor on immigration and visas, spearheading political and policy drives to facilitate London business' access to international talent.
Prior to joining the Mayor of London, Roudie was a campaigner for the International NGO Oxfam. She provided leadership in mobilisation support - on and off line - for Oxfam's UK and international campaigns. On a secondment to Oxfam France, Roudie joined a newly merged member of the Oxfam International family to change manage the campaigning strategy and secure funding for the organisation.
